What can I say, as a student at the Student Seminar with about 50 international students, we had so much fun, great experiences and we got to know each other. I can only speak for myself, but this week was one of the best in my life.
However, the last days at EASM 2018 we as students enjoyed the real conference, where we listened to different lectures, we have been part of different workshops and I think we all got different perspectives towards sports. Thus, I can say that my perspective towards sports have grown, I understand sports in various ways that I couldn’t think about.
Moving forward, for everyone who´s interesting in next year’s EASM Conference, it will be held in Seville, Spain. I will definitely make it there, and I hope to see you there as well!
The 2018 Conference Awards will be announced during the Closing Ceremony of the 26th European Sport Management Conference in Malmö, Sweden.

The Nomination Committee (NC), which is composed of four EASM members, was elected by the General Assembly (GA) in September 2017.
The NC’s major responsibility is to present the EASM GA with well‐qualified candidates running for the EASM Board positions available for the 2018 election. To accomplish this mission, the committee began its activity immediately after its appointment by the 2017 GA in Bern. Criteria and special competencies for board membership are published on the EASM website: https://easm.devserv24.de/how‐to‐become‐an‐easm‐board‐member/
The report has been developed after listening closely to the recommendations of the current EASM board members but also in recognition of the views and concerns of a diverse number of active EASM members.

After eight years at the campus of the University of Bayreuth, the 9th edition of the EASM Summer School took place in the wonderful city of Madrid. 61 students from all over the world were offered an exciting and informative program in and off the lecture rooms of the European University of Madrid in May 2018.
Besides an interesting academic content, the program also provided an extensive social program that perfectly fit into the network character of the EASM Summer School. Events like a typical Spanish opening dinner and the closing dinner at the Real Café Bernabeu gave participants the chance to unite and enlarge their personal and professional network. Being in one of the Sport Management hubs in Europe students also joined in a guided tour through the new Wanda Metropolitano, the tradition-steeped Santiago Bernabeu stadium as well as Caja Mágica tennis venue, and a live basketball game.
EASM Summer School has been a great opportunity for students to network and make new friends.
